Urban Luxury, from Cadillac

The new Cadillac vehicles appearing on Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington's lot aren't just good looking, they're utilitarian - like the updated Cadillac CTS, for example. If you needed more proof than that, check out Cadillac's new Urban Luxury Concept.

First appearing at the 2010 Los Angeles International Auto Show, this small vehicle has attracted a huge following. With a short wheelbase, Urban Luxury is a mix between modern Cadillac cars and GM's defunct Aveo5 / upcoming Sonic hatchback.

"The car's tall narrow exterior carries the brand's "Art and Design" styling which makes this tall hatchback look less like an econocar and more like a set piece from "Tron." Two large Koenigsegg-like doors rotate outward and forward to give access to both the front and rear seats."1

The vehicle is designed taller and narrower to make it more maneuverable through tight city streets. Inside, Cadillac 'ULC'  combines touch screens and projectors, replacing traditional interfaces in order to save space.

Cadillac's Urban Luxury Concept is also a hybrid. Details are limited, but a turbocharged 1.0-Liter three cylinder engine will be attached to an electric motor - with estimated fuel economy of 56 city, 65 highway.
